A couple of years back LucasArts released Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the XBox 360. The story takes place between Star Wars Episode 3 and Star Wars Episode 4 – A New Hope. The story revolves around Darth Vader’s secret apprentice named Star Killer. It is his story we go through and we are thrown back into the Star Wars universe and visit similar planets and characters. Without going into too much detail of the first game, Star Killer ends up playing an important role in advancing the Rebel Alliance.
I loved the game play of the original and loved the cinematic moments that made me excited to be a part of the Star Wars Universe again.
The sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, continues on that great game play. The game continues pretty much where the first one left off. We are not sure whether Star Killer is real or a clone created by Darth Vader in hopes to continue his plot to overthrow the Emperor. It is this journey we are part of this time around.
The graphics I think seem to be much better this time around. The attention to detail and the surroundings are amazing. We are introduced to some newer enemies and some old classic Star Wars characters we have grown to love.
I don’t know if the game is shorter or not, but I’m finding my way through it to be quicker than the original. Of course having those awesome Force powers to attach your enemies with is always enjoyable. I can’t wait to continue to play the game and find what lies ahead in its conclusion.
