Blogathon 2009 Edition

In just about 24 hours from now, starting at 6am July 25, several bloggers from around the world will participating in Blogathon where they will create one unique blog post every 30 minutes for 24 hours. Why are these bloggers doing this? Well they are raising money for their favourite charity.

A few bloggers from Vancouver and surrounding areas, with Rebecca leading the charge, will be blogging all day. Each of the Vancouver bloggers have their own charity they are supporting and I have highlighted some below.

I hope I didn’t miss anyone.

Jennifer from WorldWideWaterCooler will be coming up with Tanya, Russ and myself on Saturday for Chill on The Hill and she will be live blogging during her visit and stay up there. We will all be helping and supporting her on her quest.

I had thought of doing this myself this year, but alas I don’t think I have 49 blog posts in me. I will be helping Raul out by doing one guest post for him so stay tuned and check out his blog during the marathon event.

A lot of the bloggers will be at Workspace and you can help them out by either giving them food support or donating for their individual cause.

I wish all the bloggers the best during the 24 hour journey. You are all fantastic and doing some great things for great charities.

Blogathon Begins Today

There are a few bloggers in Vancouver participating this weekend in the Vancouver Blogathon. What is the Blogathon? Bloggers are encouraged to sign up for a charity and blog every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. You can see more information at their wiki site.

I alas will not be one of the participants as I honestly don’t feel I could do it non-stop for 24 hours. I give great shut outs to the participants I know – Rebecca, Raul, Jenn and Nadia and Duane. You all are amazing for doing this and I’ll try to support anyone I can during the 24 hours.

I’m happy to see that awareness will be brought to your charities and the what they support.

Good luck all!
