Every holiday season, I can feel the cockles of my cold little heart warming up when I spy Christmas lights going up around the neighborhood. I love to drive through the neighbourhood, feeling a child-like awe fill my soul as I relish the twinkling seasonal illuminations. And yeah, my entry wouldn’t work since I didn’t say what made me smile during the holidays. Since I’m going to Calgary for Christmas, my nephew and spending time with my family will make me smile over the holidays.

I usually spend New Year’s Eve (and New Year’s Day) in Vancouver, so that actually does make me smile since I spend it with close friends as well, at my friend A’s house. It’s become a tradition of our close-knit group of friends .

Baking Christmas cookies with my sister. It's a tradition started in our childhood and it's tonnes of fun. She lives far away though, so maybe this year we can bake cookies together via webcam! .-= Beth´s last blog ..TV Shows =-.
