Baking Christmas cookies with my sister. It’s a tradition started in our childhood and it’s tonnes of fun. She lives far away though, so maybe this year we can bake cookies together via webcam!

And yeah, my entry wouldn’t work since I didn’t say what made me smile during the holidays. Since I’m going to Calgary for Christmas, my nephew and spending time with my family will make me smile over the holidays.
I usually spend New Year’s Eve (and New Year’s Day) in Vancouver, so that actually does make me smile since I spend it with close friends as well, at my friend A’s house. It’s become a tradition of our close-knit group of friends .

Every holiday season, I can feel the cockles of my cold little heart warming up when I spy Christmas lights going up around the neighborhood. I love to drive through the neighbourhood, feeling a child-like awe fill my soul as I relish the twinkling seasonal illuminations. It brings a huge, dopy grin to my face without fail.
