I’ll admit I’m not a huge gamer. I don’t sit hours on end playing video games, but I do enjoy playing them when I do. I own both an XBox 360 as well as Playstation Portable (PSP). I’m not a huge shoot’em up game player either. I prefer to play games that have a story line attached to it, a game that makes you think, a game that is also fun and enjoyable.
Recently while on my Xbox, I downloaded the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo game (thank you Xbox for allowing me to download and try games out) and I was quickly hooked on it. The story behind the game is simple. Batman has just captured The Joker and takes him to Arkham Asylum. As the Joker is being processed, he breaks free thanks to the help of his side kick Harley Quinn. He then traps Batman in the asylum who must work through the Joker’s traps and the other villains that are also now on the loose at Arkham Asylum.
The graphics are amazing and give you a dark and sinister mood throughout the game play.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a video game before (besides Star Wars: Force Unleashed), and I think I will probably be purchasing this game very soon!
Below is a taste of what you will find!
Are you excited yet?!

I’d be better off if I could have a Batman of my own (oops did I just say that!)

Ok, so I just have to say… that while this post isn’t about gaming nostalgia, I still remember that one night we were playing XBox at your house, and I’d shot you accidentally, fallen off the damn bridge more times than we could count, and was generally sucking. Ultimately I was ‘driving’ the virtual car and you couldn’t stand it any more. You kicked me out and took over the driving duties. I remember laughing so hard I couldn’t actually get any words out of my mouth.
I still laugh when I remember that. When I think of gaming, I think of you.
It’s an absolutely fantastic game; if you liked the demo you’ll really enjoy it.
I’m hooked on the game now! It is so much fun to play and I love the developing story line as well!
