Today I’m heading off to San Francisco to be apart of the IABC National Conference. I’ve been invited to attend a “Think Tank” today where 30 people will discuss Social Media and how it is changing the landscape of communications through-out the world.
I’ve never personally participated in a “think-tank” so I’m not sure what to expect, but I am happy to go a day early to San Francisco to participate in it.
The conference attracts many communicators from around the world and our company Marketwire will be well represented. I will the only Canadian person attending from Marketwire so I’m overly excited that I was given the opportunity.
That said, I will miss not being here for the CPRS National Conference which I have been planning with the organizers since early November. I know the conference will go off well and I wish all delegates a fantastic conference.
I plan on staying an extra day in San Francisco just to relax and come down from the IABC Conference. These conferences are usually a lot of fun and also a lot of work. Waking up at 6am and going until late in the evening for 3 full days!
I’ll try to report back as much as possible and add photos where I can.
