Today marks the day the Environmental Movement began back in 1970. Canada joined the movement in 1990 for the International Earth Day. Now Earth Day has evolved into Earth Week to help accommodate all the events that are taking place. Each year Russ and I try to do our part. I have to admit it isn’t an easy process for us as we are still stuck in our old ways, but we have started bringing our own bags to the grocery stores, we try to recycle as much as we can (though we should really start reducing more). I have stopped buying bottle water as much as possible and have my own bottle at work. These are small steps, and by no means the only steps we are taking. As we get used to doing it more and more, we’ll probably start building on our reduction of waste and reusing what we can.
We all live on this wonderful planet and we must help it as much as we can.
