Today is second annual Pink Shirt Day, in support for stopping bullying at schools, workplace and on the internet. Alas I didn’t wear my pink shirt (as I wore it on Monday instead), I did wear my pink tie to show my support.
Bullying is not only in schools, but in some workplaces.
I recall oh too well my high school days when I was bullied. I know how hard and how it feels to be on the receiving end of it. Granted now I feel it is a lot more different and harder on individuals who are bullied. With the internet, it is so easy to have your name out there and thrown into situations which would cause you to feel threaten and ridiculed. I don’t know how my young niece and nephews handle the situation now-a-days.
I eventually stood up to my bully and I was able to get past it. You will not get along with everyone, and not everyone will like you, and I’m ok with that. We just have to stop the bullying and learn to celebrate the differences us human have. For it is these differences that make the world a truly wonderful place.

Good for you for standing up against him! Much love to you.
